When does the Silent Auction begin and end?
The auction officially opens for bidding on Saturday, August 22, 2020.
You can bid until closing at 8:00 pm the night of the Gala, Saturday, August 29, 2020.
How do I pay for my items at the end of the Gala?
We are using a secure software called, Greater Giving that allows you to bid on auction items, donate, participate in the paddle raiser, and purchase raffle tickets. At the end of the Gala, anything you won or purchased will be grouped together so we can easily check you out with one transaction. This is the same processor CAMP has used for years for all of our Gala's and in-person auctions.
*Please Note: this is why the system asks for your credit card information upfront.
How do I know I won and auction item or the raffle?
You will receive a text if you are the highest bidder for any auction items.
The raffle winner will be announced live during the Gala, and our staff will also call Monday morning.
How do I pick up my Auction Items?
All certificates and gift cards will be mailed. Winners of any physical items will be contacted on Monday after the Gala to arrange pick-up in the San Antonio/Austin area.
Why is the 2020 Gala "Virtual"?
Because we cannot gather together this year, the 2020 Gala will be hosted online. This type of event allows all of us to still gather as a community, but stay socially distanced depending on comfort level of each guest.
Do I have to host a party or a dinner?
Absolutely Not! The whole point of going virtual is that we are trying to give people the option of how they want to celebrate while keeping their own health and safety in mind. We think it's pretty cool if you "Gala" in your PJ's and fuzzy slippers so bring it on!
What is the timeline for the night of the Gala?
A full detailed program will be posted soon, but to help you plan your evening, here are some important times to be aware of:
6:00 PM- The evening will start informally at 6:00 pm with a looping slideshow to allow guests time to connect smart TV’s or link laptops to TV’s so guests can view the show live.
7:00 PM- The program will begin at 7:00 pm and will run approximately 45 minutes. Keep this in mind when you are planning how you would like the evening to look on your end.
8:00 PM- The auction will close!
Why do you want my credit card information when I register?
Because you will be checking out virtually, we need to have your credit card on file to ensure payment for any items you bid on or choose to purchase. At no time can any of the CAMP staff see your credit card details as they are secure in the Greater Giving system. Are my details secure in your system?
CAMP takes the security of your personal information very seriously. From your address to credit card information, we have internal processes in place to ensure your data is secure. Additionally, we use a secure software to run the auction and donations the night of the Gala. This system will accept your credit card information, and protects the data (including your card number). This is for your safety and to ensure your transactions are truly your own.
